The eve bench was built for Salt Lake City’s 2010 “EVE” festivities. Serving as both a gathering point and a resting spot, the bench offers a unique tactile and visual seating experience. Using hundreds of glass beer bottles, and utilizing the inherent characteristics of strength within the neck of each bottle, a person’s weight is distributed and redirected to the lower wooden support platform and legs. Following its role at the “EVE” event, the bench was relocated to The Beer Store in Salt Lake City, and is now used as outdoor seating near the entrance to the store.
